On domestic routes, children aged 11 and under must always be accompanied by a responsible adult. On international routes, passengers under the age of 16 may only travel if accompanied by an adult.
Exceptionally, on domestic services, children aged 12 to 13 may travel alone under the following conditions:
- Authorisation for the travel of unaccompanied minors, available on all services: if the child is not travelling with an adult, they may exceptionally travel alone if their father/mother/guardian issues an Authorisation Document, which must be signed by them and stamped by Alsa.
Conditions:
- The child will travel under the full responsibility of the person issuing the document.
- The service staff is not responsible for supervising the minor during the journey or at intermediate stops.
- If an Authorisation Document is issued, Alsa recommends that the child travel on non-stop services and that they do not arrive at the destination after 10 p.m.
- At boarding, the responsible adult must accompany the minor who, along with the ticket, must carry the Authorisation Document signed by their parents or guardians and confirmed by Alsa.
