Felipe II Train: A fascinating journey to another era

Discover the new Felipe II train, a historical train with an engine dating back to the start of the 20th century which will take you across the mountains of Guadarrama, from Principe Pio station in Madrid to El Escorial. There, you will be able to visit and admire the site many consider the 8th wonder of the world, the Royal Site and Monastery of San Lorenzo of El Escorial.

ALSA offers you the opportunity to carry out this enthralling journey to another era, on a route similar to the one the King himself used to travel on. It was Felipe who actually commissioned the construction of the monastery with the intention that one day he would be able to rest there with both his past and future relatives.
