New SMS information service
ALSA launches its new SMS information service.
- It provides information on timetables, prices and ticket reference number directly on your mobile.
- In six months ticket purchase by mobile will also be available
Alsa, the leading Spanish road passenger transport operator, presents Info SMS, its new information system through SMS text message that let customers receive all the information concerning their journey directly on their mobiles.
Once the ticket has been purchased on the website or by calling the 900 number, the customer will receive automatically and free of charge a text message on their mobile confirming the ticket reference number, with which they can go straight on the bus with no need for a paper ticket.
In addition to this free service, any customer who so wishes can obtain additional information on the journey by sending a text message to(*) 5567 with the key word relating to the information to be consulted: Info timetables, Info price, Info Alsa Plus points balance and will receive the required information on their mobile.
"This is the first phase of a project that will culminate in the next six months with the possibility of buying and paying for tickets directly by mobile¿ explains Salvador Santos, managing director of Alsa's Commercial Division.
Alsa is the first road passenger transport company to offer this type of service to its customers a fact which, according to Santo, "places us once again at the forefront with regard to offering our customers the advantages of new technologies ".
